If you cancel without deleting your assistant, your assistant will continue running on DigitalOcean — you own your assistant and its data. However, if you cancel, you'll lose access to Dex's security monitoring, troubleshooting, and daily backup and reporting services.

Do I need technical skills to use LaunchMy.ai?+
No. LaunchMy.ai is built for non-technical people. If you don't already have accounts, we give you guided steps to open a DigitalOcean and an Anthropic account, and we handle all of the server setup for you. You connect your accounts and click Launch — there's no Linux, Docker, or SSH to learn.
Who owns the server and my data?+
You do. Your private AI assistant runs on a server in your own DigitalOcean account, and your keys and data stay in accounts you control. LaunchMy.ai is a launcher, not the operator: we never install a way to log into your server — it only connects out to us, so we can't reach in — and we don't see or use your data. We do hold your DigitalOcean access token (encrypted) so we can create, monitor, and shut down your server for you; you can revoke it anytime.

Dex is your AI systems administrator, included with every assistant. Dex monitors your server, installs security updates, runs daily encrypted backups, watches your costs, restarts crashed services, and sends you a plain-English health report every morning — so you never have to manage a server yourself.
How much does a private AI assistant cost per month?+
LaunchMy.ai charges $5.99/month for Dex and your assistant. You also pay DigitalOcean directly for the server (as low as about $8/month depending on the size you choose) and Anthropic directly for AI usage (most users spend under $20/month, and you stay in control of it). There are no long-term contracts.
Is my AI assistant private?+
Yes. Unlike shared AI services, your assistant runs alone on your own private server. Your conversations and data aren't shared with other users and aren't used to train anyone's models. You hold the keys.
